The Birthday Party and first steps

Last night, I hosted the birthday party for my three December birthdays. The kids were all feeling much better after a few days on their medicines, and you would have never known that they were sick at all! In fact, everyone slept all thru the night last night! (first time in over two weeks). Anyway, all the Peterson family that are in town, that were not sick (Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Andrew, Uncle Carl, Aunt Anna and Aunt Eva) came for a little dinner- chili and cornbread; a little dessert- cake and ice cream; and a little memory making- Jay's first steps!
So here is a few pics of the festivities last night---

It was fun to see Jay eat his cake! At first he didn't quite know what it was. After a few moments of investigation, poking and squishing, he dug right in. He picked up the entire piece of cake and shoved it in! We all had a good laugh! The girls sure enjoyed this party. Everyone was very kind and gave them some great gifts-- doll sets, clothing, stuffed animals, a puzzle, a baby spin-top toy, hair clips, etc. It was a fun night!

And last but not least is a picture of just moments after Jay took his first steps! It was very thoughtful and convienient for Jay to take his first steps on his birthday. It will make it easier for me to remember! =)
